Who are we looking for?
Align is searching for a talented entry-level CAD Designer to join our team! Individuals who are versatile and self-motivated will fit in well with our team of engineers working on a wide range of civil engineering projects. We are open to candidates with experience and those who are just starting their careers.
What are the responsibilities and roles of this position?
CAD Designer Responsibilities: This position will operate primarily utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software to produce engineering drawings, create ground surface models, and prepare construction plans. Projects will include transportation-related projects (highway, bridge, traffic, pathway, sidewalk) along with project work in the site/civil, aviation, and utility markets. This position will be expected to:
Prepare civil engineering drawings for roadway and drainage projects
Prepare design drawings, including site, plan, profiles, details, and cross sections per engineer sketches/ mark-ups and instructions in accordance with project design criteria.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills in creating civil design plans
Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
Interact on project standards coordination with clients
Where is this position located?
This job will be located in Greencastle, IN with some remote flexibility.
Requirements
What are the required qualifications for this role?
Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or relevant field
Valid U.S. driver’s License
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
