As of fall 2024, construction at Robe-Ann Park has been completed! Over the past four years, Align has helped design major renovations throughout the park. Currently, the community is enjoying all of the recent upgrades constructed during Phase 2 of the project.
In Phase 2, Align designed a new access road where more parking will be offered, but with less pavement. The new road design allows traffic to maneuver throughout the park and creates a new multi-use paved open space that can be roped off for events and food trucks.
Our design also includes improved ADA access and an integrated walking path around the park. Other new features include a basketball court, bocce court, and ADA access to softball dugouts.
The City of Greencastle first started planning Robe-Ann Park in 1934 and then in 1936, the Indiana High School Athletic Association assisted with building its first major facility: a softball diamond. In 2020, Align began the design of some major refurbishments with the focus on designated parking areas and pedestrian access. Today, the 25-acre park houses basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic shelters, paved pathways, the Greencastle Aquatics Center, Castle Playground, a skatepark, and an amphitheater.
Parks and recreational projects are our passion. They give us the opportunity to improve and innovate our local cities and better our community. To see more of our parks and recreation projects, visit our page here.
