We are searching for a motivated team player who is looking for a career that involves leadership and technical skill. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects for the civil design of new roads, municipal infrastructure, parks, trails, and other community projects.
What are the responsibilities and roles of this position?
The Senior CAD Designer manages CAD activities, provides training to designers, maintains Align's CAD database, updates templates, and follows design standards. This individual will work in a variety of civil engineering design disciplines including site design, drainage design, and transportation engineering. The Senior CAD Designer will work in a team setting with other designers and is expected to pursue excellence in their work and be a team player. Regular responsibilities of this position include:
Implement and maintain and enforce CAD Standards for the company
Coordinate weekly CAD schedules with Project Managers
Coordinate management of CAD Software inventory, licenses, and updates with IT
Supply our team with technical support for all CAD software
Customization of CAD Programs
Conduct QA/QC of CAD work performed by staff
Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
Communicate project standards with clients
Provide leadership and insight into CAD technology and efficiency to our team
Train other designers to effectively use the software and troubleshoot common obstacles
Where is this position located?
This position will be located in Greencastle, IN with some remote flexibility.
Requirements
What are the required qualifications for this role?
Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or closely related field
Valid U.S. driver’s License
5 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
