Align is searching for a talented Project Engineer to join our team! Individuals who are versatile and self-motivated will fit in well with our team of engineers working on a wide range of civil engineering projects. Align is a growing firm that is involved in a wide variety of design and transportation projects for public and private clients throughout the Midwest. At Align, our team works on everything from transportation related designs (highway, bridge, traffic, culvert), storm drainage design and analysis, site design, utility design and coordination, construction observation and documentation.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
Develops project design criteria, designs calculations, construction details, quantities, and cost estimates.
Resolves problems, interprets engineering specifications, investigates design and field engineering difficulties and coordinates schedules. Contributes to single & multi-discipline engineering projects and develops cost-effective design solutions. Receives technical guidance from and collaborates with project team members including other engineers and technical support staff. Prepares and checks design drawings and/or specifications. Reviews and checks engineering work completed by others. Participates in planning, design, and construction phases of projects. May serve as a technical liaison with client on project efforts. Communicates and coordinates effectively with clients and coworkers.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
EI certification preferred
Valid U.S. driver’s License
AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
